As we wind down towards the end of what was surely a tumultuous year both inside - and outside - of fashion, we wanted to pay tribute to New York. The city is, paradoxically, both routinely overrated and consistently underestimated by outsiders. It is both inaccurately looked upon as the sole possessor of America's fashion spirit and accurately regarded as the primary driver of American fashion's creativity and its disciplinary progression.New York, like the country's esteemed Statue of Liberty that stands on Liberty Island within the city . . .
