What is Manic Metallic, and why should I purchase a subscription?
Manic Metallic is a fashion media company that aims, first and foremost, to critique fashion as an art, respect it as a discipline, and recognize it as a societal force for change.
We do this by creating audio, written, and video content that supports the above ethos. This currently includes, in part, the years’ worth of articles on our website, The Manic Metallic Podcast, The Manic Metallic Newsletter, everything included in our social media presence, and other projects currently in the works.
We are not looking to be a Vogue Magazine, a Harper’s Bazaar, or anything of the sort. We want to have conversations that actually move the needle and address society’s most pressing issues as they relate to fashion.
We do not want to participate in a fashion culture in which the conversation becomes the solution – we want to kickstart conversations that lead to solutions, and we want Manic Metallic to take part in those solutions as beneficially to all involved as we can.
While we love fashion, we readily acknowledge that this is a massively flawed industry. We want to be a part of concrete solutions as they relate to sustainability, diversity, technology, and other issues.
And we want to build a space in the fashion industry for others that believe in these same principles. Resistance to the old ways of doing things — and the ensuing progress that comes with that resistance — requires both strength in numbers and strength in funding.

How do I subscribe to Manic Metallic?
You can subscribe to Manic Metallic at https://manicmetallic.com/register/.
If you’re on our website homepage, you can click “Subscribe” at the top right and that will lead you to the registration page.
After entering your information on the registration page, you will have the option to select either our monthly or annual subscription — both of which offer you unlimited access to everything on our website. Once you do that, enter your payment information (Manic Metallic currently accepts debit and credit card information; we will be rolling out other methods of payment over the course of the next year), and choose whether or not to auto-renew your subscription.
Once you’ve done that, you’re officially signed up!
What types of subscriptions do you offer?
We currently offer two subscription types: Monthly and Annual.
Our Monthly subscription is $10/month, and our Annual subscription is $100/year. Both subscriptions give subscribers the option to auto-renew.
While both offer unlimited access to Manic Metallic’s entire archive, the Annual subscription gets subscribers a discount on a year’s worth of access.

What do I get with a subscription?
All Manic Metallic subscribers get unlimited access to the contents of our website.
This includes the entire archive of our editorials, reviews, and recommendations, as well as exciting projects and collaborations that we’ve got that are currently in the works!
How do I make changes to my subscription?
For current subscribers, you can make any changes to your subscription by clicking here to sign in.

Why did Manic Metallic go from Free to Paid?
The work that we undertake at Manic Metallic is carefully considered, and it takes time to create written work that is researched well and written well. To write these articles requires attending events such as fashion shows, museum exhibitions, trade shows, etc. as well as being present in rooms where we can make connections that will continually take our work to the next level with respect to quality.
And this doesn’t even include the amount of time that it takes to create our podcasts, our newsletter issues, and our social media posts.
After 4 years of allowing this work to be available for free to our audience members, we realized that our products (some of which are no longer listed as available for purchase) cannot carry the financial load of our company alone. Thus, we decided to move to a paid model. Our work – and the work of other journalism outlets – is worthy of being paid.
Why is there not a ‘limited free’ option?
The technology that we are using is still quite new to us, and we are working to find a solution to offer a limited amount of free articles per month for our audience.

We do not currently offer refunds for our subscriptions and products.

Yes, this is certainly an option. Manic Metallic makes its founder, Liberty Imhoff, available to speak at various events locally, nationally, and globally.
Most of these speaking engagements require a fee; however, alternative payment terms could potentially be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Manic Metallic covers fashion from a global scale in addition to its more national and localized coverage.
